Each class is based on wrestling knowledge and skill level not by age or weight. Every wrestler may advance to the next class when they demonstrate the ability to do so.
Bronze - The bronze class is for the wrestler who needs the basic fundamentals of wrestling. This includes wrestlers who have never wrestled before and need to know starting positions, how to score points from all three positions, the rules of wrestling, and how to safely conduct themselves during a match. Many basic principals will be taught in this class that will build a solid foundation that will allow the wrestler to progress.
Silver - The Silver Class is for the wrestlers who know all the starting positions and the rules of a match. The wrestler understands how points are scored, and when and why the match ends. These wrestlers need to be able to pay attention for the entire hour and half practice.
Gold - The Gold Class is for the advanced wrestlers who shows extensive knowledge of skills and the ability to use them. The wrestler shows a desire to learn and perfect their skills. The wrestler in this class does not get distracted or disrupt the class.
If you have and questions about what class your wrestler should be in please contact Coach Hochstrasser.
If you feel your wrestler should be and a different class please come talk to Coach Hochstrasser and we will make a plan to best suit your wrestler.
